Technology Is a Gift!

Like many other businesses, I am open, working from home and meeting with people on line. There is no doubt that COVID 19 has changed life as we know it, but I am taking advantage of technology to keep my appointments, network, meet new people and work. I find that by continuing to work, I get to help people, even if it’s just holding their hand, which is part of being an attorney.

A lot of us have a love/hate relationship with technology, especially when it’s being capricious. During COVID, however, I find technology to be a gift. I can reach out to friends, family, and clients. Technology is my window to the outside world beyond my home office walls. Technology helps me stay focused on my goals by allowing me to reach out and help people, and still a functional attorney.

One thing about technology is that as an attorney, I’m constantly vigilant of potential privacy/data issues that may arise. As I discussed a few days ago, now more than ever, it is crucial to be highly aware of legal compliance to avoid data breaches regardless of what your business may be. If you are on line, checkout my post discussing such legal compliance. Link is in the comments.

Best business practice is to have review and update your agency’s or business’ privacy/data collection policies, especially now that we are all heavily reliant on technology on line. Legal compliance with privacy/data laws is crucial for any business, which could minimize legal risks and hefty fines.

Friendly reminder: Substantiation + transparency = TRUST! Updated privacy/data policies build TRUST with clients as well! Any question? Feel free to contact me. https://calendly.com/audrey-advertisinglaw/30min
