With the growing number of privacy laws in the USA, it is becoming more challenging to be compliant with all, especially since these laws are not uniform.  Also, when considering who could be on your website, there are other privacy laws to consider like GDPR.    

Good news, there are plug ins.  Bad news, there are plug ins.  Plug ins are great, but they are not a “one size fits all” solution to being compliant with the different privacy laws.  There is a lot to consider to determine which plug in may be appropriate.  Once the plug in is selected, then the language needs to be tweaked to meet your business needs to be legally compliant.

Best business practice is to have all marketing be legally compliant with all applicable laws, Federal and State Advertising Law before launching the campaign publicly regardless who you are.
