As an attorney, I always try to teach my daughters to read before they sign anything. I explain that they need to know and understand what they are agreeing to do, agreeing to give up, etc. Contracts come in different formats, and electronic contracts, like Terms of Use or Terms and Conditions, are part of everyday life. The kinds of things you might be giving up are for example the right to a jury trial and agreeing to arbitration instead. Most importantly, Terms and Conditions/Terms or Use are legally binding contracts fully enforceable.
Do you read the Terms of Use/Terms and Conditions before agreeing to them?
