Have you ever ordered something on line and it took much much longer to arrive than the original date given. Worse is when your order never arrives! I’ve been there, and who has time to call to track where the order is? Why not just come are the seller said?
Apparently, I’m not the only one with this problem. The FTC recently filed lawsuits against three companies that promised quick deliveries of crucial products like face masks, protective gear, sanitizer, etc. Unfortunately, the companies also failed to communicate the delivery delays, hence violating the Mail Order Rule.
The FTC stated that “[w]hen online merchants lie about the availability of protective equipment … it is a significant concern and it’s illegal….”
