A supplement company must pay $1.1 million for false advertising!!!

The false claims were:

  1. Its dietary supplements could recede the risk of cancer.
  2. One serving of the the dietary supplement was the same as five fruit servings.
  3. Two of the supplements were as good as 10 salad servings.

Not only the company made the false claims above, but worse, it claimed such supplements could prevent, treat or cure diabetes, fibromyalgia, arthritis, heart disease, and yes, cancer.  The company suggested taking unto 12 capsules per day if diagnosed with any of these ailments.

Unfortunately, none of the claims were true.  The company seriously lacked any scientific substantiation/proof to support the false claims made.  Hence, the hefty fine!
